Babies are such a nice way to start people!

My little brother had a little baby who looks just like him!

We did get a really special treat though. My brother ever tech savvy, pulled off a new one! He just recently won one of those little itty bitty lap tops machines. I think they are little hybrid internets, but anyways. They are small and handy. Tuesday when Jessica went into labor two days before her scheduled C-section, Jeff set up shop in her room with a live feed right into her room via the little lap top. We saw the doctors coming and going and all the hustle and bustle of getting ready for the procedure to get Noah! Jessica disappeared for a while having gone to surgery and we stayed and chatted with my brother while he put on his scrubs, we being in Virginia, Michigan and Florida while he was in California!!!!! He left for 25 minutes and came back to the room with pictures on his camera, which he showed us of Noah's grand entrance. Then the icing and cherry on top - he grabbed the lap top and brought us into the nursery! We saw Noah find his fingers for the first time and give them a slurp and a suck! He was wiggling and crying. There are jokes about new babies poop, and cries and how lovely they are in the first moments of their lives.....this was truly amazing to be able to be there but be hundreds of miles away! Jeff then went back to see Jessica in recovery, when he ascertained she was ok, he then set her up with a lap top and went back to the nursery so she could see her new baby before they brought him to her. Really sometimes I hate technology. I think all too often it isolates people. People get lost in cyber world and forget life. Its an escape, I understand it sometimes but it is sad. Children miss their parents and parents miss their kids.......I have to say thought that this, having watched almost all of Noah's arrival via a live feed on the web has renewed my hope!
