Over the weekend it stopped raining briefly enough that we were able to go on a couple of swim excursions. Yesterday Binyam called me at work and asked if he should use the sunny window of oppertunity to take Ella swimming of if she had gone too much the last few days. Ella heard Binyam say "swim" and came running from across the room singing "swim, swim" There is never too much swimming for Ella Grace.
Last year Ella was in a ring floatation device and this year she is footloose and fancy free. She really is a little too old for that flotation ring but too young for arm swimmie or a vest. So she does her swimming on the steps of the pool. Our new pool has wide steps and she can go almost all the way down into the pool itself, well just about to the last step. She jumps off the last step to our waiting arms. And, she has started floating as evidenced in the above photo's. I think she is experimenting with the water so with or without the floating devices, this is a good thing.
