Brasstown Bald.

We started off this day in the rain. It was so yucky, I wasn't sure Brasstown Bald was going to happen. We spent most of the morning driving around the country side exploring and the minute there was a break in the weather we high tailed it on over to Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia.

As you can see it ended up being quite glorious. It wasn't so clear you could see for miles but we could see enough and we weren't being rained on!!!!!!

 Blue ridge mountains.
On the way up you park your car in a parking lot and a shuttle picks you up and brings you the rest of the way to the top which is a good thing because I have an extreme fear of driving so high up. On the way back instead of taking the shuttle we walked. I was fun but these photo's don't do an ounce of justice to how steep the path was. My calves hurt by the time we got down from walking at such a steep slope the whole time.

We found some treasures along the way. It was such a beautiful thing to do that afternoon.
